Referrals have to come from a Community Acute Service (Crisis Team) or key-worker within the Auckland District Health Board (ADHB).

Services

This covers four Community Mental Health Centres (Cornwall House, Manaaki House, St Lukes, and Taylor Centre), as well as cultural services Lotofale and Manawanui. Referrals may also come from the acute psychiatric unit Te Whetu Tawera, ACOS Assertive Community Outreach Service and ADHB Mental Health Services for Older People.

A person who feels that respite might help them should talk to their key-worker or Crisis Team about it.
