A Supportive Team

The staff team at respite has a wealth of experience in community-based mental health settings going back over 20 years. Most have worked at Beth-Shean over ten years, and have also worked in residential and community support services. Several met as colleagues in another organisation, and Miriam (Manager) has been glad to welcome these experienced staff whose values and principles fit so well with Beth-Shean’s own.

Our staff have varied personal backgrounds and interests that enhance their work with guests of the service, including creative arts, photography, music, cookery, raising families, community involvement, and working cross-culturally. Some have had personal lived experience of mental illness, and others’ interest has originated with a family member or friend who became unwell.

All staff have a commitment to ongoing training and expanding their knowledge and skills.
